In Context

At 40 mm it is sized to the current mainstream: 40 mm is the median across every watch measured in this catalogue. The case back is open, so the movement is visible without taking the watch apart, and the sapphire crystal will resist everything short of deliberate abuse.

The movement winds itself from the motion of your wrist. 55 hours of reserve is enough to set it down on Friday evening and find it still running on Monday. At 28,800 vph the seconds hand advances 8 times a second.

15240SG.OO.A347CR.01 stands on its own in this catalogue — no other reference here shares its base number. It pairs a blue sunburst dial with a sand gold case. It was a limited edition. Introduced in 2024.

A no-date derivative of the calibre 7121 that Audemars Piguet introduced with the 2022 Royal Oak Jumbo. Taking the date mechanism out brought the depth from 3.2 mm down to 2.8. A larger barrel and a rotor running on ball bearings with a double reverser let it hold a longer reserve at 4 Hz. It powers the [RE]Master02.
