In Context

At 39 mm it sits just under the modern norm — the band that suits the widest spread of wrists. At 12.7 mm it is a tall case, and it will catch on a cuff. The case back is open, so the movement is visible without taking the watch apart, and the sapphire crystal will resist everything short of deliberate abuse. Rated to 30 m, it is protected against rain and splashes and nothing beyond that.

The movement winds itself from the motion of your wrist. 46 hours of reserve carries it overnight, but not through a weekend in a drawer. At 28,800 vph the seconds hand advances 8 times a second.

IW3915-03 is one of 2 executions of the IW3915 base reference. Underneath they are the same watch; what separates this one is a silver matte dial and a stainless steel case. Introduced in 2024. Beyond the time it carries a chronograph.

The 69355 is the in-house chronograph of the Portugieser Chronograph 3716 of 2020. It is the 69000 family without a date or an hour counter, so the dial keeps the two-register layout of the 1998 original. It powers 21 watches in this library. It first appeared in the "150 Years" Portugieser Chronograph of 2018 and replaced the Valjoux-based [79350](/calibers/iwc-79350) in the standard model in 2020. A column wheel controls the chronograph, a pawl-winding system related to the Pellaton mechanism winds a 46-hour reserve at 28,800 vph, and the movement has 27 jewels at 30 mm across, with a 30-minute counter at 12 o'clock and running seconds at 6. In the library it powers 19 [Portugieser](/brands/iwc/portugieser) Chronograph references at 41 mm, in steel with silver, blue, green and dune dials and in gold, and 2 [Portofinos](/brands/iwc/portofino). 5 are limited editions. The [69385](/calibers/iwc-69385) and [69380](/calibers/iwc-69380) are the same family with a day and date in the Pilot's Chronographs, and the [89361](/calibers/iwc-89361) the larger flyback above it.

20 other watches in the library run the IWC 69355.
