In Context

At 41 mm it is sized to the current mainstream: 40 mm is the median across every watch measured in this catalogue. The case back is open, so the movement is visible without taking the watch apart, and the sapphire crystal will resist everything short of deliberate abuse. Rated to 30 m, it is protected against rain and splashes and nothing beyond that.

The movement winds itself from the motion of your wrist. 55 hours of reserve is enough to set it down on Friday evening and find it still running on Monday. At 25,200 vph the seconds hand advances 7 times a second.

434.20.41.21.09.001 stands on its own in this catalogue — no other reference here shares its base number. It pairs a beige matte dial with a sedna gold, stainless steel case. Introduced in 2022.

Self-winding coaxial movement. The Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) certified the Master Chronometer movement to resist strong magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss. At 6 o'clock there is a date window and a power reserve display window, and at 9 o'clock there is a small seconds dial. Equipped with a free-spring balance with a silicon hairspring and a bidirectional automatic winding system. The surface is rhodium-plated and polished with Arabic-style Côtes de Genève.

13 other watches in the library run the Omega 8810.
