About the Omega Globemaster

The name was Omega's American brand for the Constellation in the 1950s, and the design is the 1952 original's: a dial with twelve facets sloping to the edge, a fluted bezel in tungsten carbide on the steel models and in Sedna gold on the two-tone, and an observatory medallion on the caseback. The 8900 inside was the first movement certified to run in a 15,000 gauss field, and the Master Chronometer piece sets out what the certificate measures. The Globemaster Annual Calendar of 2016 added a month hand on the 8922, with the months written between the dial's facets.

The 8900 powers 8 references and its gold-rotor version the 8901 2; the 8922 and its gold version the 8923 account for 12, the annual calendars. Every reference is automatic. The 39 mm three-hander accounts for 11 references and the 41 mm annual calendar for 12.

Steel with the tungsten bezel is the material of 8 cases, steel with Sedna gold of 5, Sedna gold of 4, platinum of 3 and yellow gold and its two-tone of 3. Silver dials lead at 8. Water resistance is 100 m, every reference has a display back, and 3 are limited editions.

The Constellation is the collection the Globemaster reaches back into, the De Ville the dress line beside it, and the glossary defines the annual calendar and the Master Chronometer standard.
