About the Omega Seamaster

The first Seamaster of 1948 was a water-resistant dress watch rather than a diver, and the 2018 editions for its seventieth anniversary reproduced it at 38 mm with a small seconds or a central seconds. The 39.5 mm Olympic Games Collection of the same year, in five colours, and the Official Timekeeper editions for the London 2012 and later Games put the same design on the Master Chronometer 8800, which powers 17 references here; the Sedna-gold-rotor 8807 accounts for 4, the 8801 1, and a single 1972 Seamaster chronograph on the 1040 is the collection's one vintage piece.

The 39.5 mm case accounts for 22 references. Steel is the material of 18 cases, with Sedna gold, yellow gold, platinum and white gold making up the rest. Black, white and grey dials lead, with the red of the Olympic editions behind them. Water resistance is 60 m, 22 references have a display back, and 16 of the 23 are limited editions.

The Seamaster 300 and Seamaster Diver 300M are the divers that took the name, the Aqua Terra the everyday Seamaster, and the Museum Collection the other line of reissues.
