In Context
At 39.8 mm it sits just under the modern norm — the band that suits the widest spread of wrists. At 11.3 mm thick it is about average for a modern wristwatch. The case back is closed, so the movement stays out of sight, and the sapphire crystal will resist everything short of deliberate abuse.
The movement winds itself from the motion of your wrist. 53 hours of reserve is enough to set it down on Friday evening and find it still running on Monday. At 28,800 vph the seconds hand advances 8 times a second.
5275P-001 stands on its own in this catalogue — no other reference here shares its base number. It pairs a silver dial with a platinum case. It was a limited edition.
Inside: Caliber 32-650 HGS PS
Explore this caliber →Manually wound mechanical movement, jumping seconds, jumping minutes, and jumping digital hours, automatic hour strike. The movement was made especially for the 5275. It consists of 438 parts, including 75 jewels and a spiromax balance spring. The hour strike can be disabled at the owners discretion. The jumping indications are not only interesting to behold, but also technically impressive, as they require a relatively big amount of energy to be stored and -in time- accurately released.
