The 1863 is the decorated version of the Moonwatch's 1861. It is the same hand-wound Lemania-based chronograph with rhodium plating and finishing meant to be seen through a sapphire caseback. It powers 17 watches in this library, every one a 42 mm Speedmaster Professional.

About the Omega 1863
The 1861 is the cam-actuated chronograph of the Speedmaster Professional from 1997 to 2021, on the architecture of the 1969 861; the 1863 replaced the 863 as its display-back version, with the same 18 jewels, 48-hour reserve and beat of 21,600 vph at 27 mm across. Mechanically the two are the same movement.
In the library it powers 17 Speedmaster Moonwatch references, the "Sapphire Sandwich" 3573.50 and its successors with sapphire on both sides. 4 are limited editions.
The 861 is the 1969 original, and the 3861 the co-axial Master Chronometer movement that replaced the whole family in 2021.
