CartierCalibre de Cartier

The Calibre de Cartier was the round sports watch Cartier built in 2010 around its first in-house automatic movement, the 1904-PS MC. This library holds 38 references.

About the Cartier Calibre de Cartier

The design put a large Roman XII at the top of the dial, a small seconds at 6 and a screw-down crown in a 42 mm case, and it existed to show the movement: a display back on 29 of the 38 references here. The 1904-PS MC, with its twin barrels, 48-hour reserve and quick-set date, powers 29 references; the 1904-CH MC, the chronograph built on it in 2013, 7; and a hand-wound 9907 MC 2. The Calibre de Cartier Diver of 2014 put the same movement in a case rated to 300 m that met the ISO 6425 diving standard, and the Carbon version coated it black.

The 42 mm case accounts for 31 references and the 38 mm for 5. Steel is the material of 13 cases, steel with pink gold of 12 and pink gold of 12. Silver dials lead at 18 and black at 10. Water resistance is 30 m on 16 references, 300 m on the 13 Divers and 100 m on the 9 chronographs. The line was retired in the late 2010s, and none of the references are limited editions.

The Santos took over as Cartier's sports watch, the Ballon Bleu is the round Cartier of the same decade, and the Drive de Cartier shares the 1904-PS MC; the glossary defines the manufacture the movement made Cartier.
