About the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master

The Master name dates from 1992 and the 1,000 Hours Control test every Master watch passes, and these are the round classical Masters of the 2000s and 2010s. The Master Chronograph runs the 751A/1 in 4 references here; the Master Calendar with its triple calendar and moon the 866 in 4; the Master Geographic with its second time zone the 939A/1 in 3; the Master Eight Days the hand-wound 876-440B with its 192-hour reserve in 5; and the Master Grand Tourbillon the 978 in 7. The Gyrotourbillon 1 of 2004, on the 177 with its 117 jewels and spherical cage, accounts for 3. 28 references are automatic and 8 hand-wound.

The 40 mm case is the most common at 14 references, the 43 mm at 8 and the 39 mm at 7. Pink gold is the material of 14 cases, steel of 13, white gold of 6 and platinum of 3. Silver dials lead at 20 and blue at 8. 11 references carry a tourbillon and 5 a chronograph. Water resistance is 50 m, and 22 references have a display back.

The Master Control is the current form of the same line, the Master Ultra Thin the slim one, and the Master Grande Tradition the haute horlogerie above it.
