OmegaSeamaster 120M

The Seamaster 120M was the mid-size Seamaster of the 1990s and 2000s, a 36.25 mm case rated to 120 m. It came in steel, two-tone and yellow gold, with a quartz or automatic movement. This library holds 31 references.

About the Omega Seamaster 120M

It sat below the Seamaster Professional 300M as the dressier, smaller model, and the library's count reflects a buyer who chose gold: yellow gold is the material of 13 cases, steel of 12 and steel with yellow gold of 5, an unusual balance for a Seamaster. One reference, a Seamaster Polaris in titanium and gold, is a survivor of the 1980s line of the same rating.

The automatics run the 1109, an ETA 2892 finished by Omega, in 11 references and the 1120 of the Seamaster Professional in 7; the 2892 piece explains the base of both. The quartz models carry the 1538 in 8 and the 1424 in 3. 19 references are automatic and 12 quartz.

The 36.25 mm case accounts for 23 references, with a few at 41 mm and in the 25 mm to 35 mm ladies' sizes. Blue dials lead at 10, champagne and white at 7 each. Water resistance is 120 m throughout, and every case has a closed back. The rarity median is 8, with 17 of the 30 scored references at 8 or above: the 120M was made in short runs and is not much catalogued, and the library shows it.

The Seamaster Diver 300M is the professional watch it sat beneath, and the Aqua Terra the 150 m model that took over its role in 2002.
