In Context

At 40 mm it is sized to the current mainstream: 40 mm is the median across every watch measured in this catalogue. The case back is closed, so the movement stays out of sight, and the sapphire crystal will resist everything short of deliberate abuse. 100 m is genuine swimming resistance — more than the shape of this watch suggests it would need.

The movement winds itself from the motion of your wrist. 48 hours of reserve is enough to set it down on Friday evening and find it still running on Monday. At 28,800 vph the seconds hand advances 8 times a second.

32330404002001 stands on its own in this catalogue — no other reference here shares its base number. It pairs a white dial with a stainless steel case. It was a limited edition. Beyond the time it carries a chronograph.

The 3304 is Omega's Valjoux 7753, the chronograph with its counters at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock, introduced around 2009 for the Speedmaster Date. It powers 16 watches in this library, every one a Speedmaster Date. The 7753 rearranges the 7750's counters to the horizontal axis and moves the date correction to a pusher; the [7750 piece](/blog/the-valjoux-7750-family) explains the cam-actuated base. Omega's version runs at 28,800 vph with a 48-hour reserve and 27 jewels at 30 mm across and 7.9 mm high, and it replaced the 6-9-12 layout of the [1164](/calibers/omega-1164) in the Speedmaster Date, unlike the Piguet-based 3301, 3303 and 3313 of the same years. In the library it powers 16 [Speedmaster](/brands/omega/speedmaster-automatic-quartz) Date references at 38 mm and 40 mm, in steel and two-tone. 2 are limited editions. The [3330](/calibers/omega-3330) is the co-axial column-wheel chronograph that succeeded it in the smaller Speedmasters.

15 other watches in the library run the Omega 3304.
