In Context

At 40 mm it is sized to the current mainstream: 40 mm is the median across every watch measured in this catalogue. The case back is closed, so the movement stays out of sight, and the sapphire crystal will resist everything short of deliberate abuse. 100 m is genuine swimming resistance — more than the shape of this watch suggests it would need.

The movement winds itself from the motion of your wrist. 46 hours of reserve carries it overnight, but not through a weekend in a drawer. At 28,800 vph the seconds hand advances 8 times a second.

3519.50.00 stands on its own in this catalogue — no other reference here shares its base number. It pairs a black dial with a stainless steel case. It was a limited edition. Beyond the time it carries a chronograph.

Omega's execution of the ETA/Valjoux 7750, fitted to the Speedmaster Date through the 1990s and 2000s. It differs from the Speedmaster Reduced's calibre 1140 in construction rather than specification: the 1140 stacks a Dubois-Dépraz chronograph module onto a time-only base, while the 1152 is an integrated chronograph whose timing works belong to the movement's own architecture. That is what gives it a twelve-hour counter.

16 other watches in the library run the Omega 1152.
