In Context
At 45 mm it is a large watch — well above this catalogue’s 40 mm median, and enough to dominate a narrow wrist. The case back is closed, so the movement stays out of sight, and the sapphire crystal will resist everything short of deliberate abuse. 100 m is genuine swimming resistance — more than the shape of this watch suggests it would need.
The movement is hand-wound, so winding it becomes part of the day rather than something the watch does for you. 72 hours of reserve puts it well past a weekend — several days off the wrist and it is still going. At 21,600 vph the seconds hand advances 6 times a second, the slower and more audible rate of an older design.
PAM01382 stands on its own in this catalogue — no other reference here shares its base number. It pairs a black matte dial with a stainless steel case. Introduced in 2024.
Inside: Caliber P.6000 NS
Explore this caliber →The P.6000 NS is Panerai's hand-wound three-day movement without its small seconds, the version fitted to the Luminor Base Logo and the Radiomir Officine. It powers 16 watches in this library. The P.6000 of 2018 replaced the Unitas-based OP calibers as the entry to Panerai's hand-wound range: 15½ lignes, or 34.9 mm across, with 19 jewels, a beat of 21,600 vph and a 72-hour reserve from a single barrel, built to the simple, robust pattern of the historical movements. The NS version leaves out the seconds hand, so the Luminor Base Logo keeps the two-hand dial of the 1990s original. In the library it powers 8 [Luminor](/brands/panerai/luminor) references, the Base Logo Tre Giorni and the Luna Rossa edition at 44 mm, 7 [Radiomirs](/brands/panerai/radiomir) at 45 mm, the Officine and the Eilean among them, and one [Luminor 1950](/brands/panerai/luminor-1950). 4 are limited editions. The [P.6000](/calibers/panerai-p-6000) is the same movement with its small seconds, the [OP II](/calibers/panerai-op-ii) the Unitas-based movement it replaced, and the [Unitas piece](/blog/the-unitas-6497-and-panerai) explains that lineage.
15 other watches in the library run the Panerai P.6000 NS.
