In Context

At 40 mm it is sized to the current mainstream: 40 mm is the median across every watch measured in this catalogue. The case back is open, so the movement is visible without taking the watch apart, and the sapphire crystal will resist everything short of deliberate abuse. 100 m is genuine swimming resistance — more than the shape of this watch suggests it would need.

The movement winds itself from the motion of your wrist. 66 hours of reserve is enough to set it down on Friday evening and find it still running on Monday. At 36,000 vph the seconds hand advances 10 times a second, a high beat bought at the cost of faster wear.

127334-0001 stands on its own in this catalogue — no other reference here shares its base number. It pairs a white dial with a white gold, stainless steel case.

The Rolex Caliber 7135, introduced in 2025 within the Land-Dweller model, represents a significant advancement in Rolex's mechanical movement engineering. Operating at a high frequency of 5 Hz (36,000 beats per hour), it enhances timekeeping precision while maintaining a commendable 66-hour power reserve. This balance is achieved through the innovative Dynapulse escapement, a double-wheel, indirect-tangential impulse system entirely crafted from silicon, offering a 30% increase in efficiency over the traditional Swiss lever escapement. The movement incorporates a Syloxi silicon hairspring optimized for its high-frequency operation, ensuring consistent performance. Additionally, the Caliber 7135 features a ceramic balance staff, meticulously shaped and polished using femtosecond laser technology, enhancing durability and reducing friction. To further bolster resilience, Rolex has implemented an improved Paraflex shock absorption system, providing robust protection against both lateral and vertical shocks.
