In Context
At 33 mm it is small by current standards, in the range most wristwatches occupied before cases began growing through the 1990s. The 7.85 mm case is genuinely slim and goes under a shirt cuff without argument. The case back is open, so the movement is visible without taking the watch apart, and the sapphire crystal will resist everything short of deliberate abuse. 50 m covers rain and hand-washing comfortably; it is not a watch to swim in.
It is quartz, so it will hold time far more closely than any mechanical watch here, and asks for a battery every few years rather than a service.
1225V/000R-H014 stands on its own in this catalogue — no other reference here shares its base number. It pairs a silver sunburst dial with a pink gold case. Introduced in 2023.
Inside: Caliber 1207
Explore this caliber →The quartz movement Vacheron Constantin uses in the smaller Overseas, where a mechanical calibre of the same capability would force a thicker case. It gives hours, minutes, central seconds and a date. At under 19 mm across it is among the smallest movements in the catalogue, and it is the only route by which the Overseas reaches a 33 mm case.
3 other watches in the library run the Vacheron Constantin 1207.
