About the IWC 76240

The 7760 is the hand-wound version of the 7750, and Habring's module, first seen in the Pilot's Doppelchronograph of 1992, adds a second chronograph seconds hand that stops for an intermediate time and catches up on the next press, with a lever-and-cam construction that made the complication affordable. The movement has 31 jewels, a 44-hour reserve and a beat of 21,600 vph at 30 mm across. The 7750 piece explains the base, and the glossary defines the rattrapante.

In the library it powers 23 Portugieser ref 3712 references, in steel, rose gold and platinum at 40.9 mm; 16 are limited editions.

The 79350 is the automatic Valjoux-based chronograph of the Portugieser 3714 in the same case, and the 79230 the automatic split-seconds of the Pilot's line.
