About the IWC 79251

It combines two of IWC's Valjoux 7750 developments on one base. The calendar module is Klaus's from the 79261, which sets every indication forward from the crown and needs no correctors; the rattrapante is Richard Habring's from the 79230, a lever-and-cam split-seconds mechanism that could be built at a production price. Together they make a perpetual calendar, moon phase, four-digit year and split-seconds chronograph on a movement with 43 jewels and a 44-hour reserve. The 7750 piece explains the base under both.

Every reference here is a Da Vinci: the ref 3751 in platinum, yellow gold and rose gold, 26 in the 39 mm case and 16 at 41.5 mm. 12 are limited editions, and the glossary defines the perpetual calendar.
