A Valjoux 72 reworked by Rolex for the hand-wound Daytona, and the movement in reference 6265. The chronograph runs on a column wheel with a lateral clutch, the standard arrangement of its generation. Rolex changed the balance to lift the rate from the Valjoux's 18,000 vibrations an hour to 21,600. It was among the last bought-in chronograph bases Rolex used.
