BreitlingChronomat 40 GMT

The Chronomat 40 GMT is the travel version of the 2020 Chronomat: a 40 mm three-hander with a second time zone, on the Rouleaux bracelet with rider tabs. This library holds 64 references, every one on the same movement.

About the Breitling Chronomat 40 GMT

It arrived in 2022 as the Chronomat Automatic GMT 40, and it gave the redesigned Chronomat a model without the chronograph and without the 42 mm case. The Caliber 32 inside is an ETA 2893 finished to chronometer standard, with a 24-hour hand that adjusts independently from the crown while the watch keeps running, a 42-hour reserve and 21 jewels. The glossary explains the GMT distinction it sits on the simpler side of.

What varies across the 64 references is the dial, and much of it comes from partnerships. Blue accounts for 24, green for 12, black for 11 and red for 6, and the run of NFL team editions, a Qatar edition and a pair of meteorite dials make up the 22 limited references. Steel is the material of 59 cases; 3 pair steel with a platinum bezel and 2 are recorded in meteorite. Water resistance is 100 m throughout, every case is 40 mm and 11.7 mm thick, and the rarity median is 1.

The Chronomat B01 42 is the chronograph the design comes from, the Chronomat 36 and Chronomat 32 the smaller three-handers on the same bracelet, and the Super Chronomat the 44 mm.
