BreitlingTransocean

The Transocean was Breitling's vintage-styled line of the 2010s, reviving a 1958 name on a slim 43 mm chronograph with a mesh bracelet. This library holds 245 references.

About the Breitling Transocean

The 1958 Transocean was a waterproof chronometer sold to travellers, and the 2010 revival took its restraint rather than its shape: a smooth bezel, a clean dial with applied indices, mushroom pushers and the "Ocean Classic" mesh bracelet. The first Transocean Chronograph carried the in-house B01, and the 2011 Limited edition with its vintage dial was one of the first B01 watches collectors sought out. The line was retired in 2018 when the Premier took over the elegant chronograph role.

The Caliber 45, an ETA 2834 with day and date, is the most common movement here at 93 references, all Transocean Day & Date models. The B01 follows in 87, the B05 worldtimer of the Transocean Unitime in 34, the Caliber 19 with its four-year calendar and moon phase in the Chronograph 1461, and the Caliber 10 in the 38 mm. Every reference is automatic, and the Breitling reference number identifies which is fitted, as the reference guide sets out.

The 43 mm case accounts for 202 of the 245 references, the 46 mm Unitime for 34 and the 38 mm for 9. Steel is the material for 162 and red gold for 73, a higher gold share than any other Breitling line here. Black dials lead at 139 and silver at 86. Water resistance is 100 m throughout, and the median case is 12.8 mm thick, slim by Breitling standards.

The Navitimer is the other B01 chronograph of the same years, and the Premier its successor.
