Caliber 45

About the Breitling Caliber 45

The 2834 is the 2824 with a day disc added beside the date, and it is the movement behind every Breitling that shows both in a window at 3 o'clock. It runs at 28,800 vph with a 38-hour reserve, 25 jewels, 29 mm across and 5.05 mm high, and every Caliber 45 is COSC-certified. There is no chronograph and no in-house architecture; it is a simple movement in a line that was otherwise about chronographs.

In the library it is chiefly the Transocean Day & Date, a 43 mm dress watch of the 2010s, at 93 references. The Premier Automatic Day & Date 40 accounts for 14, the AVI for 9 and the Galactic for 2. The 43 mm case is the most common size at 93 references and the 40 mm at 14.

The Caliber 17 is the same 2824 family with the date alone, and the Caliber 10 the thinner 2892-based three-hander.
