Métiers d'Art Tribute To Great Explorers Bartolomeu Dias

In Context

At 41 mm it is sized to the current mainstream: 40 mm is the median across every watch measured in this catalogue. At 11.68 mm thick it is about average for a modern wristwatch. The case back is closed, so the movement stays out of sight, and the sapphire crystal will resist everything short of deliberate abuse. Rated to 30 m, it is protected against rain and splashes and nothing beyond that.

The movement winds itself from the motion of your wrist. 40 hours of reserve carries it overnight, but not through a weekend in a drawer.

7500U/000R-B687 is one of 5 executions of the 7500U/000R base reference. Underneath they are the same watch; what separates this one is a multi-color gloss dial and a pink gold case. It was a limited edition.

Automatic movement developed and manufactured by Vacheron Constantin, with dragging hours additional mechanism; time indicated by Arabic numerals mounted on satellite-wheels. The hours move one after the other across a 120° scale.

9 other watches in the library run the Vacheron Constantin 1120 AT.
