About the Vacheron Constantin 2160

The tourbillon cage is shaped as a Maltese cross, the maison's emblem, and turns once a minute at 6 o'clock; the movement beats slowly at 18,000 vph, which suits a tourbillon, and holds 80 hours in a single barrel. It is 29.1 mm across with 31 jewels and 188 parts, and it carries the Hallmark of Geneva. The peripheral rotor was Vacheron's first, and it is the reason the movement is thin enough for the Traditionnelle and the Overseas alike.

In the library it powers 12 Métiers d'Art references, the Tribute to Great Civilisations series among them, 5 Traditionnelle Tourbillons at 42.5 mm and 5 Overseas Tourbillons at 41 mm, including the skeleton in titanium. 3 are limited editions, and the glossary defines the tourbillon.

The 2260 is the hand-wound fourteen-day tourbillon, and the 2460 SC the maison's standard automatic.
