Vacheron ConstantinTraditionnelle

The Traditionnelle is Vacheron Constantin's classical line, drawn from the codes of Geneva watchmaking. A stepped case, a fluted caseback, a railway minute track and dauphine hands are its marks. This library holds 107 references.

About the Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle

The collection was set out in 2007 as the counterpart to the Patrimony, whose dial is bare where the Traditionnelle's is detailed, and it carries every kind of movement the maison makes. The hand-wound 4400 AS with its 65-hour reserve powers the Manual-Winding models and 11 references here; the 2460 WT shows 37 time zones on the World Time; the ultra-thin 1120 sits in the Self-Winding; the 2260 runs a tourbillon for fourteen days on four barrels; and the 2160 is the peripheral-rotor tourbillon of 2018. 56 references are hand-wound, 45 automatic and 6 quartz, the last the 30 mm ladies' models. Every movement carries the Hallmark of Geneva.

Complications are more than half the collection: 25 references carry a tourbillon, 12 a perpetual calendar, 12 a chronograph, 7 a world time and 4 a moon phase. Sizes run from 30 mm to 44 mm, with 38 mm the most common at 22 references, 41 mm at 21 and 42 mm at 15. Pink gold is the material of 55 cases, platinum of 26 and white gold of 25; there is no steel, and every case has a display back. Silver dials account for 50 references. Water resistance is 30 m.

The 76 base references group into families of up to six, led by the 82172/000R Small Seconds in pink gold. 23 references are limited editions.

The Overseas is the sports line beside it, Métiers d'Art puts the same movements under decorated dials, and the Historiques reissues the archive.
