Audemars PiguetCODE 11.59

CODE 11.59 is the round collection Audemars Piguet launched in 2019, its first new line in decades: a round bezel and caseback on an octagonal case middle, with openworked lugs and a double-curved crystal. This library holds 122 references.

About the Audemars Piguet CODE 11.59

The launch put six models on the same case at once, from a three-hander to a minute repeater, and introduced the caliber 4401, the first integrated flyback chronograph Audemars Piguet had designed itself. It is the most common movement here at 30 references. The time-and-date 4302 follows at 25, the flying tourbillon 2950 at 13, and the 5900 of the 38 mm models added in 2023 at 10. The Starwheel of 2022 revived the wandering-hours display, and the hand-wound 2956 and 2948 carry the Supersonnerie minute repeater and grande sonnerie. 105 of the 122 references are automatic.

Complications are a large share of the line: 35 chronographs, 22 tourbillons, 7 perpetual calendars and the striking watches. The 41 mm case accounts for 102 references, the 38 mm for 15 and the 42 mm for 5. The collection launched in gold only, which shows in the materials: white gold at 34 references and pink gold at 32 lead, with two-tone, ceramic-and-gold and the steel models of 2023 following. Blue dials lead at 36, and the smoked lacquer and openworked dials account for much of the rest. Water resistance is 30 m on 84 references. 15 are limited editions, and 100 have a display back.

The Royal Oak shares the 4302 and 4401, the Royal Oak Concept the experimental movements, and the Jules Audemars was the round collection CODE 11.59 replaced.
