About the Audemars Piguet Millenary

The shape was the point, and the collection used it in two directions. The large Millenaries of the 2000s, at 45 mm and 47 mm, exposed the movement on the dial side: the Millenary 4101 of 2011 turned the caliber's architecture into the face of the watch, and the Minute Repeater and Tourbillon followed. The 39.5 mm Millenary of 2015 redrew the design for women, with a hand-wound movement whose balance is visible at 9 o'clock, and the Frosted Gold and Philosophique editions built on it.

The 2325, a Jaeger-LeCoultre-based automatic with date, is the most common movement at 14 references, the in-house 3120 follows at 12, and the hand-wound 5201 of the 39.5 mm models and the tonneau-shaped 2046 account for 7 each. The 2861 minute repeater and 2940 tourbillon are the top of the range. 38 references are automatic and 28 hand-wound.

The 39.5 mm case accounts for 24 references, the 45 mm for 18, the 47 mm for 11 and the 28 mm for 7. White gold is the material of 28 cases, pink gold of 27 and steel of 8. White dials lead at 22 and black at 16, with skeleton and pavé dials behind them. Water resistance is 20 m, and every reference has a display back. 5 references carry a tourbillon and 2 a minute repeater; 9 are limited editions, and the rarity median is 7.

The Royal Oak shares the 3120, the Jules Audemars was the round classical line of the same years, and CODE 11.59 is its successor as the maison's non-Royal Oak collection.
