Caliber B74

About the Breitling Caliber B74

SuperQuartz is thermocompensated quartz: a thermistor measures the movement's temperature and the oscillator's rate is corrected digitally, which holds it to a few seconds a year and earns COSC chronometer certification. The B74 has hours, minutes, seconds and a date, 7 jewels and a 25.6 mm diameter, and it exists so the Colt 44 and the Colt Skyracer could carry a Breitling movement at a price below the automatics.

In the library it sits under 32 Colt references, the Colt 36, Colt 44 and the Breitlight-cased Colt Skyracer 45 of 2017, and 8 Galactic 36 quartz references. The 36 mm case accounts for 19 references, the 44 mm for 12, the 41.1 mm for 6 and the 45 mm Skyracer for 3.

The Caliber 77 is the equivalent SuperQuartz for the 33 mm Colt, the B71 the Galactic's, and the Caliber 17 the automatic the Colt offered beside it.
